Digipak- Ancillary Task
After looking at my research i have been able to put a plan together of what i will include on me digipak. Having not taken all of my photos yet i now know the ones i need to get so it is possible to make the real one.
Digipak poster ancillary task
After looking at both my research and additional research i have followed the codes and convections so that i have been able to created a template for my poster. On the poster i will have my logo, name of song, name of band, sponsors, website, picture of the artist, debate album name, the number one smash hit and name of band.

Experimenting With iMove
This first edit we did on move was simply to see what sort of things we could do with this software. We wanted a sort of flash affect that changed on the beat of the drum however, the smallest that the video would go was 0.2 seconds which was too long for the affect we wanted. For the more advanced scene like this we will use an editing software called Premiere Pro.
Initial Editing
Within this task we added shots from the first shoot to really get an idea of how imove was going to preform and water or not it has the tools we need for our video. after making the video we found that the basics are all there however, when it comes to any sort of advanced editing move just isn't capable of much more than slow-motion. Because of this we will use premier-pro as this allows us to do anything that we need. A final problem that we found with move is that all of our footage looks a little blurry, this is more than likely down to the camera when we were filming however move is not able to cope with 4K footage so we are stuck to filming in lower resolution.

Filming Diary 1
On our first day of filming everything was a little disjointed and this showed in nearly all of the footage that we filmed. One advantage that bands and groups have when filming real music videos is that they have natural chemistry, and so when filming they do little things that really make the video look realistic. Morty and Reece had not met before to

Shopping List Continued
In Thornbury there is a Screwfix which we thought would sell lights. After looking online we found a few that we thought would fit our criteria of:
1. Portable
2. battery powered
3. Small
4. Bright
5. Has a stand

The £22.99 LED light fits the criteria. After visiting screw fix we talked to a employe who confirmed that this meets our requirements. We will buy two lights and charge them before shooting. They will be useful for filming in the garage and in the pathway. Other lights were either dimmer, more expensive, not portable or came without parts such as bulbs which would be no use to us.

Weather report 1
Our filming days have been set as Sunday 20th and Wednesday 23rd.

To make sure that we could film we needed to check the weather. The days we have chosen to film have similar weather conditions so there would be no confusion with narrative performances. The temperatures are 10 and 8 degrees C so our actors would wear coats and hoodies. It would be cloudy so not as bright as it could be. This is why we may buy a Screwfix artificial light too use in some shots.
For scenes like the garage scene which is indoors this will not matter. However the pathway scene may matter as it will have limited light as it is. So artificial light will be important for this

Feedback on Pitch
After presenting our initial ideas plan to the class within the presentation we explained both the actors, the narrative the times we would be filming, the props needed, the story bored, the shot list, ht e locations for both the performance and the narrative, the instruments and the way in which we would film. when asking for feedback we received questions such as how would we deal with issues such as light? as we didi not explain this in our powerpoint this was a valid question however, we have already considered that an so were able to answer it with a solid response; "we have decided to precise a light from screw fix with the little budget we have and so this will deal with any overcast days or night time shoots. We received feedback from the class (which they filled out while we were doing we have leaned that the biggest strengths of our project is that "its very organised" and it will be very easy to film and complete

Location Planning Clothing
Seeing as the song Stressed Out is not an extremely upbeat song and our music videos narrative will be a life reflecting story our props and clothes have to express this. This is why I believe dark clothing is suitable to use in many of the scene. For example black jeans and dark coats will be used in scenes where the characters are clearly visible with high key lighting. Dark colours for example black can connote death and disappear which would be effective in passing our narratives message. Whilst using dark colours in low key lighting can be effective, it can also make for poor quality footage where it is hard to visualise what is happening in the narrative. This is why in indoor potentially darker scenes more vibrantly coloured clothing will be used. I think that if we use this format we have a good range of changes and if we edit and shoot correctly we will create a fluent narrative that is consistent. It is important to think of this and plan it when shooting because the clothing needs to be consistent in narrative scenes for the plot to carry and to be fluent.

Locations
Skatepark
This will be the second location where we introduce the caricatures and start the narrative of the day and so this will be filmed in the morning of one of our filming dates. This specific ramp will be used for a wide establishing shot so that starts the narrative of our two caricatures getting arrested.
In the opening moments of the narrate one of our actors will have to slide down this ramp so we will meet to ensure that they have the correct footwear so that they do not fall over. we will also have to ensure that it is not filed on a day where it is misty or raining.
The second and third ramp we use in the skatepark will be sets for both performance and narrative switching between and dropping them in as the story board shows. the second ramp will also be the one used for the smoke grenade scene.
Pathway
The pathway will be used for both narrative and performance. This will be the location we shoot the can scene and also some long shots of the drumming. We may also set up artificial light that will be in shot as if it was being filmed in a studio but a behind the scenes twist.
Carpark
Although we have some other carparks in mind we have decided that we will defiantly be using this set for some of our video. This wide shot will be used in the same way as the pathway with the drums the same distance away from the camera. This set may also be used for the action scene where our character steals the car and is arrested. When using this set we will have to be carful of the general public trying to actually use the carpark.
Also in the carpark, we found a very interesting place where we can film some of the performance where we set the drums on the small hill. we may also utilise some time-laps while in the carpark.
prison
For the scene where we need a prison set (the beginning and end) we have decided to use a very plane room. we will make the room (to the best of our ability) in to somewhat of a noticeable brattish prison. the actor will also be dressed in cloths to help the audience to recognise the straight away.
